Parks, Clean & Green
Dupont already has a lot to be proud of when it comes to our parks. Our borough park and Little League field have been the heart of community life for generations. Families gather there for games, picnics, and summer evenings under the lights. It’s where kids learn teamwork, neighbors cheer together, and traditions are passed down year after year. That’s something worth protecting — and building on.
I want to make sure our park and ballfield stay in great shape for the long haul. That means keeping the equipment safe and up to date, supporting our Little League programs, and making sure the park is clean, inviting, and accessible for everyone. These spaces should continue to be places where memories are made for the next generation of Dupont families.
But we can do even more. Behind the senior housing sits a field that could be so much more than empty space. I see the potential for a dog park and community garden — a place where neighbors of all ages can come together. Seniors could enjoy raised-bed gardening, families could grow fresh vegetables, and dog owners could have a safe spot to let their pets run. It would turn an underused area into a vibrant hub of activity, health, and connection for the whole borough.
Keeping Dupont clean and green isn’t just about mowing grass or planting flowers. It’s about pride in where we live and making our shared spaces reflect the best of us. With community cleanups, seasonal yard-waste collection, and a commitment to maintaining what we already have, we can keep Dupont looking its best while building new opportunities to come together.
From our ballfields to our backyards, Dupont deserves parks and green spaces that bring people together, honor our traditions, and create new ones.
