About Keith

My name is Keith Kalmanowicz, and I’m proud to be a third-generation Dupont native. My family has lived here for over a century — working, raising families, and helping shape the community we all call home.

For decades, we ran the corner store, Kalmanowicz’s Market and Deli. It was more than a business — it was where neighbors gathered, families shopped, and the community stayed connected. Like many small businesses in Dupont, we eventually felt the squeeze when the big boxes rolled in just up the street — Walmart, Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Arby’s, and McDonald’s. That experience left a lasting mark on me: I saw firsthand how corporate giants chip away at the heart of a small town.

I went to school for business, worked in corporate America, and traveled the country — living in different states and experiencing different communities. But in the end, I came back to Dupont. I came back home.

And when I returned, I found a community I love facing new struggles: families pushed out of the housing market, seniors like my own parents left with fewer resources and support, and neighbors fighting uphill battles with landlords and rising costs. Dupont needs a change.

For over 16 years, I’ve worked as a chef — putting in long hours, working with my hands, and living the realities of a blue-collar life. I’m not a career politician. I’m a hard-working neighbor, ready to fight for you.

That’s why I’m running as a write-in candidate for Mayor: to bring new leadership that’s ready for changing times, and to fight for Dupont and its citizens every step of the way.

This campaign isn’t about politics as usual — it’s about protecting our homes, supporting our families, and keeping Dupont the kind of place where people want to stay, raise kids, and retire.

You don’t have to like me to vote for me. You might even disagree with me on some topics, or think I’m rough around the edges. That’s fine. What matters isn’t whether I’m your favorite person — it’s whether you agree that Dupont needs a change.

At the end of the day, this election isn’t about personalities. It’s about protecting our homes, supporting our families, and putting Dupont First. Every Decision.
