Dupont First
When I say Dupont First, I’m not talking about a slogan — I’m talking about how I’ve lived, and why I decided to run.
My family has been in this borough for over a century. For decades, we ran Kalmanowicz’s Market & Deli, a little corner store where neighbors came not just to buy food, but to talk, laugh, and stay connected. That store was Dupont First before I even had words for it — because it was built on people looking out for each other.

Dupont has always been a town where neighbors care for neighbors, and that spirit is still alive today. But times are changing. Housing is harder to afford, small businesses are under pressure, and families are juggling more than ever. The challenges are real, but so are the opportunities.
I’m not running because I think everything is broken. I’m running because I believe we can do more, we can adapt faster, and we can build on what’s already good to make Dupont even stronger.
That’s why I decided to run — to make sure every decision we take as a borough is measured against one simple question:
Does this put Dupont First?
What Dupont First Means
- Homes First: Families should have a fair shot to live here without being priced out by absentee landlords or LLCs.
- Local Business First: Small shops, diners, and corner stores keep money in our community — and they deserve support.
- Safety First: Our police, volunteer firefighters, and Neighborhood Watch give everything to keep us safe. We owe them stable funding, training, and respect.
- Seniors & Veterans First: The people who built and defended Dupont should be able to age with dignity here, not struggle alone.
- Transparency First: Budgets, contracts, and agendas should be out in the open before decisions are made — not hidden behind paperwork.
Why It Matters
When I talk to neighbors, the same theme comes up again and again: people want a Dupont that works for everyone. Dupont First is about moving forward — keeping what we love, improving what we can, and being ready for the future.
This campaign isn’t about pointing fingers. It’s about rolling up our sleeves together and making sure our borough is a place where families can stay, businesses can grow, and neighbors feel safe and proud to call home.
That’s what Dupont First means to me.
And that’s what I’ll bring with me every single day as your Mayor.
Dupont First. Every Decision.
