Fiscal Responsibility & Transparent Government

When people ask me why I’m running, one of the first things I tell them is this: I’m tired of not knowing where our money goes. For too long, borough government has felt like a closed door. Budgets are confusing, contracts aren’t clear, and decisions that affect our lives are made with little explanation. That’s not how a small town should work.

In Dupont, every tax dollar matters. Families here stretch their paychecks to make ends meet, and the borough should be just as careful with its budget. We can’t afford waste. We can’t afford favoritism. And we definitely can’t afford backroom deals.

I believe in something simple: if it’s your money, you have a right to see how it’s being spent. That’s why I want to put the borough’s budget online in plain English — no jargon, no guessing. Every resident should be able to log in and see where the dollars go, from street paving to park upgrades to equipment purchases.

Transparency also means accountability. Borough contracts should be openly posted, bids should be competitive, and meetings should be more than formalities. I want quarterly “Open Books Nights” at Borough Hall, where neighbors can come in, ask questions, and get real answers.

Fiscal responsibility isn’t just about saving money — it’s about spending wisely. That means prioritizing core services, investing in infrastructure, and making sure every dollar brings value back to the people who earned it in the first place.

I’m not a career politician. I’m a working guy who knows what it means to stretch a dollar. And I’ll bring that same mindset to Borough Hall: clear, careful, and always accountable.

Because at the end of the day, Dupont deserves leadership that treats your tax dollars like what they are — yours.
